James Gray is the founder and managing director at Cornice & Rose International, LLC. His family has been involved with construction and property development since the founding of their family firm in 1955. James made his first investment in a real estate property at the age of 19 while at university. At an early stage, he developed an interest in urban planning and specifically traditional urbanism that continues to this day.
This was followed by professional experience in Greenwich, Connecticut, with a firm regarded as one of the top 100 in the world (AD100). He then served as a senior client representative in a single-family office for a prominent international family based in London, England, with investment and building projects across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
In 1997 Cornice & Rose was founded as a multi-disciplinary firm dedicated to producing projects that are of a world class standard. Since then, numerous projects have been invested in, designed and constructed; these consist of aspects of traditional, historically proven architecture and urban planning that will endure the test of time. The professional experience of the team of people that comprise the organization include projects completed in America, Europe, and other parts of the world. Many have been profiled in numerous publications including Architectural Digest and others. These individuals, which include licensed architects and LEED “green certified” professionals, have a sensitive approach to the master planning, design, construction and development aspects and are able to utilize innovative management, technological and production processes. The organization often collaborates with a large group of world class consultants.
Property Legacy is a core focus in the projects in which James is currently involved. This approach has a foundation of economic stewardship, community building, and beauty. Having worked on projects that have already lasted for centuries, James provides the experience and the knowledge to create projects with an ability to endure well.
