Mr. Joshua Vivar works since 2010 as Principal of BHYH Group, a multi family office focused in strategic alternative assets. With presence in the United States, Israel, UAE and Latin America, BHYH Group supports the structuring of built to suit assets in real estate, energy (oil & gas, renewable) and high tech. Mr. Vivar is a board member of Andres Carne de Res (the US subsidiary of the largest restaurant in the world -www.andrescarnederes.com-), was a board member of MYRO (a Singapore robotics company - www.myro.bot-) and an advisory board member at The Abrahamic Business Circle (an initiative from Dubai, UAE to promote economic diplomacy through business -www.theabrahamicbusinesscircle.com-).
Mr. Vivar previously worked as promoter for The Conafay Group (www.conafaygroup.com), a Washington, D.C.-based government affairs firm, and as agent for Stern Value Management (www.sternvaluemanagement.com) and Stern Stewart & Co. (www.sternstewart.com), a consultant business economics and applied corporate finance firm, whose Chairman and CEO, Mr. Joel Stern, invented and developed Economic Value Added (EVA).
Mr. Vivar also worked as financial economist in the two most recognized Guatemalan government agencies, the Supervisor of the financial system (www.sib.gob.gt) and the Central Bank (www.banguat.gob.gt), where he developed different roles, from monitoring the Guatemalan foreign exchange reserves to developing mathematical models for surveillance and forecast. He also worked at the Organization of American States (www.oas.org) in Washington DC and at The Consejo Monetario Centroamericano (www.secmca.org) in San Jose, Costa Rica; where he developed a Financial Vulnerability Index for the Central American banking system.
Mr. Vivar is Industrial Engineer with a Master in Finance from Tulane University. In addition, he has different certifications from NYSE, Bloomberg and the University of Valparaiso.
